UPDATE: Toned down audio levels as well as sped up start button transition.

You are a spirit to the World Tree, in charge of protecting it until it can grow large enough to sustain itself. During the day, collect essence to feed the sapling. At night, fight off the Shadow Moths that lurk in the darkness wanting to remove the World Tree from existence.

To Win: Get the tree to Essence Level 16 and make it to the daytime.

Nice Job my dude, plenty of good elements here.

Jumping variability has pros and cons and I found myself wishing my Heal Pulse has more punch, but all in all, you did very good work here once again.

I tested on keyboard as my controller wasnt working well, likely an issue on my end tho.

Keep making games!!

Awesome Warlikefury. Thanks for the awesome feedback. I'll be making good use of it in the full build.

It’s a super cute game, I like the premise. I wasn’t able to jump back to the center platform from the left so maybe a little tweak there. I love the way the tree grows. What are the little pink slimes on the branches?

You collected them for more essence. I still have a few pieces to get done for tomorrow's due date. I'll look into the jump situation. There is a double jump and you can jump through the bottom of blocks. But I'll test it out and take a look. Thanks for the feedback and issue report ;).

Of course! It’s looking awesome. I couldn’t double jump with space bar but that was all I tried. Hope that helps!

Odd. Your the first that couldn't do that. Hmm...I wonder if it's a Mac/web browser thing. You could also plug in a gamepad. That also works with the game. I'm adding in audio now before a pause/option screen, start screen, etc. Then the odd polish bit tonight. Hopefully tomorrow I can get one last thing in as an "End of the Game" thing...That's tomorrow before  the deadline.

The jumping was awkward for me too but that's because its a variable jump (meaning the longer you hold space the higher up you'll go), so for a double jump it felt really awkward to have to wait til I was at my first jump's peak before pressing it again.

Yes! The jumping is variable. I find it better for more control on platformers. Sorry to hear it was awkward for you :(. Maybe in the future I'll add a toggle to have it either variable or constant?
